[obol] Buff-breasted Sandpiper

Motivated by Mike Patterson's posting of Charles Swift's sighting of 
Buff-breasted Sandpipers at Bayocean Spit in Tillamook, four Salem birders 
attempted to repeat the find today.  One juvenile was found in the brack 
line on the ocean side just in front of the trail coming from the corner of 
the parking lot.  (Of course, we first hiked the road to the gate, took the 
trail to the left and hiked back all the way on the beach before seeing 
it......)

It had flown in behind us and stayed for about 15 minutes (at 1015), then 
flew south.  The only other birds we saw on the beach were Heerman's, 
Ring-billed, and California Gulls and Caspian Terns.

We also had great views of 5 or 6 Bairds Sandpipers on the Bay side of the 
spit.
