[obol] Photo of Juvenile Ruff Reported near Waldport on August 18

Hi,

On Saturday, 18 August 2007 along Bayshore Beach, Jill Grover saw and took
the photograph at http://www.orednet.org/~rbayer/shorebird/shorebird.htm
of a shorebird that looks like a juvenile Ruff on p. 189 of Sibley's
"Guide to Birds."  Jill notes that it "was significantly larger than
nearby Semipalmated Plovers," and "the size seemed to rule out a
Buff-breasted Sandpiper."  There were also other species of sandpipers.

Do you think it is a juvenile Ruff?
