OBOL:
Carol & I visited Tillamook county on Sunday. We found
BLACK PHOEBES: Tillamook River Loop, along the Tillamook River and also the
Rain River preserve near the mouth of the Wilson River
Bayocean Spit:
2 GOLDEN PLOVERS - flyovers headed for the ocean from the bay
8 SEMIPALMATED PLOVER - ocean beach, north of Meares village
1 SNOWY PLOVER - ocean beach, north of Meares village
60 BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS - ocean beach, north of Meares village
1 RING-NECKED PHEASANT - north end of Lake Meares (where'd that come from??)
WANDERING TATTLER - rocks at base of Barview jetty near RR tracks
Feeding frenzy in a tide pool full of smelt in Miami Cove, east of
Garibaldi:
100 Brown Pelicans
200 Gulls
2 Caspian Terns
What a show!!
5 Peregrine Falcon sightings, 2 Bald Eagles, 1 Cooper's Hawk, 2 Red-tails.
