Those looking at my pictures at www.evacalidris.blogspot.com have 
concurred with me that I did in fact see a LAUGHING GULL yesterday on 
the beach within a quarter mile north and south of the auto access at 
Del Rey (north of Gearhart; south of Sunset Beach). I saw the bird at 
1630 and then it flew out to feed with the pelicans just past the 
breakers. The tide was high at the time. I imagine it could be out on 
the beach again today.Were I to go looking for it today, I would drive 
the beach from Gearhart to the Peter Iredale and back looking through 
the many gull flocks. I would also check the Necanicum Estuary at mid 
tide and both its north and south spits. After that, I would go to the 
Seaside Cove.

I hope others have an opportunity to see this bird.
