I haven't had much luck seawatching during storms at Cape Arago.  Besides 
the wind & rain, the visibility is usually about 1/2 mile at the most.  I 
have had much better luck checking protected areas for hunkered-down birds.

At the North Cove (Cape Arago), there were 8 BROWN PELICANS, 17 HARLEQUIN 
DUCKS, 14 BLACK OYSTERCATCHERS with grebes, scoters, gulls & rockpipers.

At Sunset Beach (Cape Arago), there were 10 BONAPARTE'S GULLS (all adult) at 
the gull flock.

In Charleston, there was 1 BLACK-LEGGED KITTIWAKE roosting with common & 
uncommon gulls species (no Glaucous Gulls).
