The power came on a little over an hour ago. It went out at
18:10 on Sunday. The 18 hours of house rattling wind was the
worst part. The Neighbors lost a chimney into our driveway,
lots of trees down. The folks got hit by all the flooding
certainly came out the worst.
BONAPARTE'S GULLS in every other puddle. The beaches have been
swept clean. RED-NECKED GREBES and loons in the boat-basins.
The ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRD was at the fuschias as soon as the winds
dropped below 30mph.
Strangest bird? An OSPREY sitting on a snag over the soccer
fields on Ridge Rd this morning.
