I was successful in continuing to avoid observations of Red-necked Grebe 
in Multnomah Co.today. I did observe eleven COMMON GOLDENEYE down stream 
of the railroad bridge on the N. side of Hayden Island. Otherwise, I saw 
no loons or grebes between there and I-205. I saw what may have been a 
RED-SHOULDERED HAWK on the power line at the West end of Blue Lake Park 
just west of Chinook Landing. I saw it in silhouette, but it looked like 
the right proportions.
