Here is another person wondering about the Varied Thrushes.

At this point I have seen one (1) male thrush in my yard and one (1) on the
road early in the morning. Typically they feed along the road before the sun
gets very high. In early October I began hearing them calling in the
morning, but since migration ended their numbers are very low.

I got another, even poorer, picture of the Grosbeak on my feeder after
being missing since my last post. Closer observation of the Grosbeak
suggests he is a little rough around the edges.
Also had flocks of Am. Robins, Cedar Waxwings and Bushtits (among others)
gleaning berries and suet.
This was the first sizable flock of Robins in my yard this year. The
Waxwings were also here about 2 -3 days ago.

  Where are the Varied Thrushes?
