[obol] unusual Wigeon on Roseburg CBC

Mikeal Jones, Theo ____ (sorry, cannot remember her last name) and I covered Platt I and Cooper Creek Reservoir on the Roseburg CBC. In a flock of roughly 100 American Wigeon we located a wigeon with bright yellow or lemon colored cheeks. The cheeks were outlined with black and the outline met at the throat forming a median black line on the throat. The color of the cheeks were so bright that the only cheek color that seemed to come close was the Baikal Teal cheek color. The black outline, however, did not divide the cheek patch, but outlined it. The green eye/ear patch seemed particularly vibrant but that may have been only because of the bright lemon cheek patch. The link below is to photos on flickr. The flock was 200 to 300 feet away so the photos are not great, but I think they show the features.
 
We would appreciate any suggestions.
