[obol] Arctic Loon YES

....... Shawneen Finnegan, Jim Danzenbaker and I birded Blind Slough  
this morning, arriving around 8:10 am and soon saw the ARLO east of  
the bridge near to the north edge of the slough.  We attempted photos  
and video, but were soon driven off by a rain shower.  We took a half  
hour turn through the lowlands, returning to the bridge when the rain  
let up, only to see the loon had moved off.  After a lengthy turn  
through the lowlands (Greater Yellowlegs, Harlan's Hawk, Long-billed  
Dowitcher,  ducks, geese, falcons, etc.) we returned around 11:00 am,  
only to be told by British Columbia birders that the ARLO had floated  
west under the bridge, then flew east out of sight, just 10 minutes  
before our return.  By noon we had not seen the ARLO again  ..........
