The leucistic Bald Eagle was seen at 10AM today on a sprinkler at a point 0.4 miles west of Chin Road and 0.3 miles north of Buesing Road. Chin Road intersects with highway 39 north of the town of Merrill at the Wong Potatoes building. Buesing is at the south end of Chin. The area around there is open so viewing the eagle from a distance is easily done, but please do not try to get very close to the eagle. We would not want it to disturb it and it was seen on private property. Also, today at 11AM, the White-tailed Kite was visible from the parking lot of the Discovery Marsh directly across Hill Road at the Tule Lake refuge visitor center. A Say's Phoebe was seen in the same marsh yesterday and both have been around for some time now. Yesterday, the adult Red-shouldered Hawk was seen along Miller Road just after one enter's the Miller Island Wildlife Refuge just south of Klamath Falls.
