[obol] eider update

Just wanted to make clear that no one should infer from the lack of
eider sightings yesterday that the eider is not still there. Dennis
Paulson and I also scoped for a few hours without luck, but the vast
majority of the 1000++ scoters were far enough offshore that the bird
(which if among them could have been merely a small brown speck amid
larger brown specks) could easily be missed, even given Sunday's
coverage. In addition, folks should check the rocks; Dennis says
that in Alaska Steller's Eiders can be seen perched on shoreline
rocks in the manner of harlequins.

We had no additional significant birds to add to what's already been
mentioned. A quick check of Baskett Slough on the way home revealed a
pair of Eurasian Wigeon.
