Maybe an important object lesson for white-feathered things wintering with a flock of brown birds in a brown landscape.  And maybe the reason snow buntings don't winter in the Valley more regularly....

Sylvia and Paul S. were at the Linn county site this morning at 9:00 and
found a pile of Snow Bunting feathers and a contented looking Prairie
Falcon. The Horned Larks however were still in evidence.
