I live on the north side of Mt. Tabor and have had them coming to the feeders all winter as well, but only 3 or 4 at a time.

.......... Band-tailed Pigeons have been coming to my feeder all winter, as many as 24 at one time, lately only a half dozen or so. I'm in northeast Portland about 3-4 miles from Mt. Tabor. I have a platform feeder in a fenced yard that I've managed to squirrel-proof. The pigeons remain wary and flighty, but sometimes roost for long periods at the tops of firs and other trees in the neighborhood.

We saw a BAND-TAILED PIGEON at Mt. Tabor yesterday. We've never seen one so early in previous years, and have never seen them in the winter on Tabor. We also saw a WHITE-THROATED SPARROW just south of the lowest reservoir...a new Mt. Tabor bird for us.
