[obol] Black Rosy-Finches? (Enterprise,Or.)

Hi Folks,

Don't ya just hate it when this happens?

Saturday, in Enterprise-We were looking into a bare leafed tree for the odd Bohemian Waxwing when we both spotted something different.  Both of us came to the same wondering conclusion and just as we spoke of what we believed we were seeing....they flew off not to be seen again!

Four dark backed, pink sided/bellied birds with a masked look, white/black face.  

I know they are quite rare, and what were they doing in town, not up on Zumwalt rd?

The impression we both had stood up to our looking over multiple resources and discussing it back and forth. Were they actually black and not a variant of the gray-crowned?  Hard to know, exciting though.

We drove up Zumwalt Rd. today, Sunday and saw no Rosy-Finches, there was a nice flock of Am. Tree Sparrows at the junction of Crow Creek and Zumwalt.
