[obol] Canvasbacks back at Valley River

Biked along the river late this afternoon and scoped the ducks from the Valley River Bridge.  Saw 4 male Canvasbacks (their wine red heads were spectacular caught by the sun) and at least one femaie.  Didn't see the Horned Grebe, but saw one Pied-billed and one that might have been a Western/Clark Hybrid.  Met Steve (Rocketman) McDonald by the Delta Ponds and he gave me excellent directions to the Great Horned Owl which was cooperatively perched high in a big cottonwood.  Had great looks through my scope.
