[obol] strange ducks

much to our great delight, we have 3 immature male hoodies on our pond.  
watching them dive for goldfish is a riot.

on a pond further down the road are two ducks i cannot id.

blue tip to bill, faint beige crescent between eye and bill, darker on 
the back of the head and down the back of the neck, brown above and 
light below, black rears.

any ideas?  i am mystified.
