Monday - December 19 -

Drove through lower Basket Slough and sat for quite awhile.
Two Bald Eagles were flying/fishing the waters - fascinating to watch
because the brisk wind was cause for creative ventures.

A surprisingly gentle landing delicately picked up a large carpish, orangish looking fish.
The eagle flew to a stretch of "island" south of the road where another bald eagle was.
It eventually flew to a very awkward looking branch close to the water and began eating. The other eagle eventually joined it but I couldn't see if they shared.

  Lovely,
After seeing the Harris Sparrow and White throated sparrow near Canby - I was happily loving the day despite the weather!
