[obol] Central Benton Raptor Run 2/21/07

Paula Vanderheul and I did the Central Benton County raptor run today under cloudy but dry skies.  We covered 61.1 miles in 5 hours and had a nice diversity of raptor species:

Red-tailed Hawk - 24 (one dark morph at Finley, one standing on a nest and possibly refurbishing it, a pair side by side on a tree limb)
American Kestrel - 11
Northern Harrier - 8
Bald Eagle - 3 adults (one on or near its nest)
Rough-legged Hawk - 2 (pair sitting on opposite sides of same tree)
White-tailed Kite - 1 (Lincoln Prairie Overlook, Finley NWR)
Merlin - 1
Peregrine Falcon - 2 (one immature)
Cooper's Hawk
Great Horned Owl - on nest
Unidentified large rapter - 1
