This morning I heard a starling doing an amazing
imitation of a singing male Anna's Hummer! Imagine my
surprise when I discovered a mutant hummingbird high
up on a lampost singing away...

More slush and sleet on the ground here in Coos Bay
this morning.  The first wave of Selasphorus Hummers
are bound to be having a rough time this year.
