Here is a consideration no one has added to the discussion yet - is
changing the state bird really the way you want your tax dollars to be
spent?  Even small, noncontroversial bills cost a lot of money.  Surely
an initiative to change the state bird would generate a lot of discussion,
legislative hearings, etc., when, to my way of thinking, there is work of
much more significance to do in this state.
