Hello: I would like to update the number to over 6,000 American Robins have
flown through our yard today. There are about 1,000 Robins sitting in our
Juniper Trees right now and walking out the door, the sound is very
impressive.

It is 18 degrees out, lots of pretty Hore frost (spelling?) on the trees.
Very frozen, very white and very cold outside.

The Robins, in addition to our heated water dish, are gathering on frozen
large ice puddles in the back yard and licking? Drinking? The ice. Fun to
watch.

Subject: [obol] Lots o' Robins

Hi all, Over the past three days we've been seeing large flocks of American
Robins in our juniper forested neighborhood. In the morning they fly toward
the northwest and in the evening they fly back towards the southeast.

This morning was foggy, so they moved by close to the ground. In a period of
40 minutes I counted 4,100 robins flying through our 10 acres! In the past
couple of days many of our juniper trees have been holding up to 50 robins,
and we have more than100 juniper trees on our property. So you can imagine
the cacophony of sound we hear when we step out the door.

Is anyone else seeing scads of robins out there?
