N. Spit of Coos Bay, PM, sunny, 60's, light wind:
at least three female GADWALL with chicks (only the
2nd yr. for this species to breed in the county)
territorial WILSON'S PHALAROPES (probably around 3
nesting)
Also saw what appeared to be a N. SHOVELER with chicks
and some sort of teal with chicks that was far off and
quickly disappeared- probably either CINNAMON or
GREEN-WINGED.
and 18 WESTERN SANDPIPERS and a lone male N. PINTAIL.
