There was a Brewers Sparrow singing constantly this morning on Belts
Road. Go about 5 miles south of Brownsville on Gap Road and turn right
on Belts Road. This is a gravel road. Go about ¼ mile and the bird was
in the field north of the road. It was not singing the long song but
was singing a shorter song with an introductory buzz followed by 4-5
staccato-like notes. Best to get a look because there are Grasshopper,
Savannah, and Vesper Sparrows also in the field.
