[obol] Shorebirds are returning, please report all L. Yellowlegs

Greetings All,

Over the past three migratory periods (two springs one fall) the numbers of
Lesser Yellowlegs reported have been extremely low. During the most recent
spring season there were less than 20 reported statewide for the season.
Now that the southbound shorebird migrations are commencing I would ask that
you please make sure to report all the Lesser Yellowlegs you see so we can
continue to monitor this disturbing trend. Greater Yellowlegs also made a
poor showing during Spring 2006, but seemed to rebound back to normal
numbers during the most recent spring migration.

Hopefully Craig's report will be the first of many of both Yellowlegs
species.

Thanks,

Dave Irons
