Just a reminder:

Please send me information through October regarding shorebirds on Sauvie's
Island. I will summarize the information and report it to ODFW.

Information sought:

1)  Species
2)  Numbers
3)  Locations
4)  Dates



(Although the apostrophe is missing , the life preserver at the Sauvie's
Island Grange indicates "Sauvies Island".  The possessive form is the true
name for the island despite the state indicating  otherwise.  The argument
for the singular non-possessive is that it we don't call the salt water
sound to the north of us "Puget's Sound"...Well, Puget never owned that
sound.  Mr. Sauvie was once the owner of Sauvie's Island.  That being said,
assuming Mr. Sauvie was literate, he probably spelled his name "Sauve", with
an accent mark over the "e".)
