I joined Roger Robb to check the headwaters of the Amazon this morning.
This would be at the upper ends of E. Amazon and W. Amazon Parkway, Eugene.
There are many trails, some in connection with the powerline right-of-way,
some newly developed by the city which connect with the Skyline Trail system
near Spencer's Butte. We were mostly working the edges of mixed forest
habitats and parts of the powerline trail. We began at 5:30 and finished
around 9am. Fortunately, many birds were singing and woodpeckers were
drilling.
