Hi all,

I conducted a shorebird survey at the Pelton Reregulation Dam near Warm
Springs, Jefferson County this morning.

Perhaps the most interesting observation was an actively singing
BLACK-THROATED SPARROW. I believe this is only the second record for the
county. Unfortunately, the location is inaccessible to the public. There
were also 3 CASPIAN TERNS, 3 YELLOW-BREASTED CHATS, and 1 BLACK-CAPPED
CHICKADEE, all fairly difficult to find in the county.

Shorebirds included:

Killdeer - 16
GREATER YELLOWLEGS - 2
Spotted Sandpiper - 9
Western Sandpiper - 7
Least Sandpiper - 12
