On the other hand, for those who don't like gulls, I once saw a Bald Eagle 
catch and eat a Herring Gull at Brigantine NWR.
And at Jamaica Bay NWR, a Black-crowned Night-Heron caught a nearly full 
grown Black Duck and tried to kill it---The duck got away
