[obol] 3 green herons in yard

Hearing loud & not the usual calls coming from outside today -- I went out 
to see.  I'm guessing that some or all of the three GREEN HERONS were newly 
fledged and weren't sure where to go. They all wound up in a shabby locust 
tree in our yard.  This displeased a couple of local CROWS, probably also 
young ones.  There was quite a bit of chasing around until the herons left.  
I'm fairly close to Scappoose Bay and have seen a juv. green heron in the 
yard once before, hunting in the birdbath.   Young green herons seem 
vulnerable to finding inappropriate places to land -- not too bright?  One 
was rescued from simply standing in the middle of the road recently, too.  
It wasn't hurt.  Lona Pierce, Warren, in Columbia County
