[obol] Black-backed LEGO?

OBOL,

When I got home from work this evening, there was a LESSER GOLDFINCH on one of my feeders that had a much blacker than normal back.  It was almost as black (but not quite) as the race that predominates in the southern Rockies.  I was wondering how common the black-backed (or hybrids of them and the olive-backed) are here in the valley.
