Hi Folks,
As I had the day off I went over to BSNWR.   Morgan Lake is being drained apparently to fill the other impoundments so is prime for shorebirds.   I ran into Roy Gerig who saw 2 Immature Black-crowned Night Herons, and one likely Godwit.  There were scads of Dowitchers,  Yellowlegs and Peeps, as well as a few Killdeer and one Semipalmated Plover.  I was also able to pick out an early Dunlin.  Oh yes,  there was one Spotted Sandpiper.   Roy also has one imm Bonaparte's Gull among the few California Gulls.  Nice to have a not so hot day.
