No sooner had I seen the hawk over my deck, my neighbor experienced near 
disaster.

The baby quail just hatched over the last three days or so.  Mama, 
Poppa, and the kids are one of the four qcoveys we have.  We keep track 
by which part of the place they live.  Balckberry Bush Poppa quail was 
in the driveway, when my neighbor saw the hawk make a very good try.  
Thank heavens for blackberry bushes!  Papa got away this time and saved 
the family.

 Two years ago, we had several young quail taken right off the deck.  
That was a sharpie, and I have seen them since.  Never saw Cooper's here 
before, so it is nice to know both are around.
