[obol] Dead Murres On the Beach in Newport

OBOL,

Large numbers of dead murres have been found in the wrack lines on Newport
Beaches recently. Last weekend, more than 50 were discovered on the beaches
adjacent to Yaquina Head (fresh after a very windy day). Just today one of our
Bonding With Birds volunteers found 4 new birds on Nye Beach. It is mostly
adults but some juveniles have been found also. The birds are not mangled or
emaciated so it's a mystery as to why.

I would be interested to hear reports from other areas along the coast where
murres nested. Is it just the Newport area?
