[obol] crow behavior

Maybe this is common behavior for crows, but it is entertaining to watch
nonetheless. Thru our window, I have been observing a crow (nesting locally
in a fir) repeatedly bring food to our ground birdbath and place it in the
water. It waits a few seconds, then retrieves the food and tears it up and
eats it. The food isn't always the same thing, but I can't tell exactly
what it has. Sometimes it looks like a big nut, another time --bread,
another time some part of an animal or fish perhaps. Now I know why the
birdbath water gets cruddy so fast. I thought a raccoon might be messing it
up at night. Lona Pierce, Warren
