[obol] crow behavior

Maybe this is common behavior for crows, but it is entertaining to watch 
nonetheless.  Thru our window, I have been observing a crow (nesting locally 
in a fir) repeatedly bring food to our ground birdbath and place it in the 
water.  It waits a few seconds, then retrieves the food and tears it up and 
eats it.  The food isn't always the same thing, but I can't tell exactly 
what it has.  Sometimes it looks like a big nut, another time --bread, 
another time some part of an animal or fish perhaps.  Now I know why the 
birdbath water gets cruddy so fast.  I thought a raccoon might be messing it
