[obol] Alder Flycatcher at Malheur?

You are not alone. I lived in Wisconsin for 6 years where Willow and
Alder can often be heard in the same location at the same time. They
are distinct, however, I have always thought the fee-BEE-o of the Alder
was not what I heard. I have always thought that that 'o' just isn't
there very often, if at all. I hear it as flreee-BEEE.....I used to try
and try and try to hear that 'o' part, but I just never really could
convince myself that it really was there. I have seen/heard all the
guides, and I could never understand why the 3 syllables were emphasized
over 2 syllables of Willow, because to me, that third syllable was
barely audible. Yet I find seperating the two relatively easy.
