Odd isn't it, that they should hang on there
so well? When I lived in Summit 22 years ago the
species was easy to find on the same stretch of
road described by Darrel. Lars Norgren Manning Oregon
Some years ago I saw a covey of California Quail,
mainly newly fledged chicks, at our mailbox. This
is deep in the woods where I don't really expect
Mountain Quail.
