[obol] Black-throated Sparrows close to Hines, Harney Co.

For the second year, BLACK-THROATED SPARROWS are singing along Hines  Logging 
Road just 2.1 miles from Eddy's Truck Stop south of Hines.To find two  
territorial singing birds, just turn west and uphill on Hines Logging Road...  there 
are mile markers painted on the RH side of the road from some previous  
event, marked in tenths-of-a-mile.... when you are just below the huge gravel  
operation, at 2.1 miles, at a fence corner with a "No Trespassing" sign, you  will 
find one male bird mostly uphill, and one mostly downhill. The birds  respond 
readily to recorded songs. I believe that there are at least two other  
singing birds before this spot, but not as close to the road.
