[obol] flycatcher bath

This spring we had more migrating warbling vireos than in past years,  
and for the first time we were lucky enough to observe them  
bathing.   We have a pond outside our dining room window, and a  
quince bush on the far side of the pond.   The Warbling Vireos would  
take turns diving from about 4 feet above the water surface into the  
pond, like a kingfisher, and quickly return to the quince bush.  They  
did this repeatedly for several minutes, and then spent several  
additional minutes preening in the bush.  At first I thought they  
were getting bugs off the water surface, but that was not the case.    
They were simply bathing in a manner that I have never observed  
before.   This sounds very similar to what Linda Fink observed with  
the flycatcher.
