[obol] An albatross-like bird at Ocean Park

This is a third-hand report of a bird found dead on the beach at
Ocean Park.  The observers had no camera and presumably estimated
the size.  The bird could not be relocated later.

"...it had a wingspan less than 5 feet, but the coloration was exactly 
that of a Laysan Albatross, despite smaller wings. Each wing was 
about 24 inches long; the body was about 6 inches wide."

and

"...the shading from black back to white tail was especially noticeable, 
as were dark feathers around the eyes. No photos, one of the reasons 
others went out quickly was to get some photos and take measurements
[later]."

Sounds booby-ish to me.....
