[obol] barn owl night

The barn owl fledglings were more visible last night than usual because
of the full moon. At 10:30 p.m., when I finally did chores, they were
perched on the roof and prow of the barn, flying about, screaming,
begging, and (dare I say?) having a good time. Four or five owls (some
young, some adult) were visible at any one moment.
If anyone wants to witness the scene, you are welcome to come tonight.
I'd suggest arriving about 8 p.m. so you can sit by the pond and watch
the 2 resident beavers before the owls begin their show (usually
starting by 9 p.m.). The beaver are determined to completely block all
flow of water out of our pond. Every morning, I undo their night's
labor, or as much of it as I can. They're pretty amazing.
