Swainson's from Township. That brought the total in the Township Road =
area to 76 Swainson's. I did not go south at Straits Drain or down the =
other road a little east of that. If I had really covered the area well, =
I am sure the total would have come close to 100 Swainson's. Later in =
the day, I saw an adult Ferruginous Hawk on Meiss Lake Road in Butte =
Valley.

<DIV>Hi all, </DIV>
<DIV>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Early this morning, I took a quick jaunt around =
the=20
Lower Klamath tour route. There were 7 Sandhill Cranes near the =
mechanical crane=20
in&nbsp;Unit 11. An immature Cooper's Hawk flew along the ditch on the =
right=20
side of the exit part of the route about 2 miles from Stateline Road and =
the=20
immature Red-shouldered Hawk actually gave me a good look at it about a =
mile=20
from the exit. I returned home to take care of some business and then at =
10AM, I=20
headed for Township Road to check on the Swainson's Hawks in that =
area.&nbsp;I=20
saw one from Highway 97 just south&nbsp;of Stateline. I drove Township =
Road and=20
turned right on Oregon Drain for about 2/3 of the way to Stateline Road. =
I saw=20
12 Swainson's along that part. I returned to Township and drove to the =
short=20
access road between Oregon Drain and Straits Drain Roads, I turned right =
on the=20
short road and counted another 31 Swainson's from Oregon Drain and that =
short=20
road. From that road to Lower Klamath Lake Road, I counted another 33 =
Swainson's=20
from Township. That brought the total in the Township Road area to 76=20
Swainson's. I did not go south at Straits Drain or down the other road a =

east of that. If I had really covered the area well,&nbsp;I am sure the =

would have come close to 100 Swainson's. Later in the day, I saw an =

Ferruginous Hawk on Meiss Lake Road in Butte Valley.</DIV>
