  <pre wrap="">Hi all.  Jorrie &amp; Ken's observation may explain what happened to our feral cat at the Zimmerman Farm.  She is 10 or ll years old now, spayed of course.   She never crosses Sandy Blvd, which is why I think she's made it this long, but she showed up with a severely dislocated hip, her leg was rotated the wrong direction at the hip and sticking straight up in the air over her back,  but she had no other injuries.  I was thinking maybe Great Horned Owl until I saw the Bald Eagles the other day.  Poor cat, things are getting better for her but she will never be the same.

talons. He was having a hard time flying with the weight of the cat
and landed on some branches of a fir tree. While he sat in the tree,
he watched the crows flying in the distance. When he took off with the
cat, he flew down and out of our sight. We assume he took it to the
ground. The cat dangled from his talons and appeared as though it was
dead. Maybe with so much snow on the ground, hunting was easier. What
an incredible sight!
