unidentified warbler?  It was not a Yellow-rumped Warbler, maybe an Orange-crowned?  Very plain.  Saw 2

On the footpath to and around the far end of the lake

Yellow-rumped Warblers.  A dazzling array of plumages for both Audubon's and Myrtle.  A good place to just sit and study the little guys.

Unidentified warbler singing not seen
Hutton's Vireo (just before crossing the first little bridge)
Mallard Ducks everywhere
Black-capped Chickadees
American Coots
Great Blue Heron
Oregon Junco
Varied Thrush--heard not seen
Northern Flicker--heard not seen
Song Sparrows everywhere
Bewick's Wrens everywhere
Brown Creeper - a couple
Canvasback Duck - just one down by the mausoleum.  It landed while we were watching the Great Blue Heron
Violet Green Swallows - hundreds if not a thousand, skimming over the reeds and lake.  Fantastic ballet.

Bewick's Wren (birds along our entire walk very vocal) river side of trail
Wood Ducks (Willamette River) 2
Canada Geese (Willamette River and lake)

American Coot (lake)
Common Merganser - at least 200 mixed with gulls on the Willamette River just south of the first island past Oaks Park.
Belted Kingfisher - 1 east side of the trail (away from river)
Large black, white and red woodpecker--just a glimpse, I am quite sure it was a Pileated Woodpecker but only had a glimpse as it flew overhead into the woods east of the trail.
