I spent the week walking selected portions of the beach from
Peter Iredale south to Del Rey. Steve Warner also walked most
of Gearhart Beach.

The weather was not particularly helpful. For scale, I re-surveyed
Sunset Beach. Those who pay attention to the dead-bird surveys may
recall that I surveyed Sunset on 2/22, here are those results again
compared to 6 days later after a heavy weekend storm and 3 days of
sand "redistribution" from the west and northwest winds that followed.

             		2/22 2/28
BF Albatross 1 1
N Fulmar 3 2
GW Gull 1
Rhino Auklet 18 5
Horned Puffin 1

I found nothing that was recently deposited on 2/28 and most of the
birds were at least partially buried.

I found only 3 birds in 1km of beach at Peter Iredale: 1 N Fulmar,
1 Rhino, 1 TUFTED PUFFIN.

And 3 Rhinos and nothing else on 1.6km of beach at Del Rey.

Steve also reported very few birds on the beaches he surveyed.
