Hi Folks\,
After 3 weeks in Costa Rica,  I have to admit it is hard getting back into the grind of daily life.   I did manage to get out that afternoon and ran into Roy Gerig who has been down and out with the flu.   He relayed that there were 2 Black Phoebes at the barn on Livermore Rd.   We had suspected they nested in the county last year, and this lends more to our suspicion.   There was also a Horned Grebe  on the refuge as well as a Canvasback.   The Horned Grebe is a hard bird to find in the county anymore it seems.  I presume this must be an early spring migrant.
