Hi OBOL,
A friend and I went to see Mr. Falcated on Saturday.
He is GORGEOUS! I've had a lot of RFI's on how to see
him, so I thought I'd share.
The man that lives in Gainsborough that was letting
folks in to see the duck has gone on vacation. You can
get in from 9 am - 5 pm Monday - Saturday, as the
gates are open. Call the office for Sunday
appointments: 689-1390. We talked with Jeanie in the
office, and she is very helpful and friendly.
Go in the main gate, take the first right to the area
where they have RV parking. Park somewhere along the
street there. Walk on the gravel path along the water
and hopefully you'll see him.
For the last week or so I thought I'd heard a Black
Headed Grosbeak on evening dog walks. By the time I'd
get home, put up the dog, grab Bill and head back out,
the darn bird would have stopped singing!
This Sunday we both heard the Grosbeak somewhere in
the back yard. Didn't see it, but it was a Grosbeak
for sure! Guess we better go get another 50 lbs. of
seed!
Happy Spring!
Kat
