 A very obvious adult GLAUCOUS x GLAUCOUS-WINGED GULL hybrid was at
the Cove this afternoon. The wingtips were thickly white, but with a
typical Glaucous-winged internal pattern of shading. The bird looked
at first glance like an adult Glaucous Gull, but with the darker
shade of the mantle typical of the Glaucous-winged Gull--not pale
enough mantle to be a Glaucous, besides the fact that the wing-tips
were not fully white. 

I had my camera, but sadly found that I had left the memory card in
my card reader at home....
