[obol] ???

I woukld like to see if anyone on OBOL has any ideas about a ?bird 
that a friend heard while out jogging!!

Hi,
I forgot to ask you in my previous message about a bird call I heard 
while jogging yesterday morning.  The bird call sounded just like a 
laughing hyena!  I have never heard this bird before.  It repeated 
soon after so I got another good listen.  Of course I didn't get a 
look at him.  The timing and pitch were just like the hyena call.  I 
was in an area that had been clear-cut a few years back with planted 
douglas fir about 10ft. high.  No steller's jays around who would be 
mimicking a mammal on a different continent.
Am I going crazy?
