[obol] ??? Yin Yang Geese???

      What came to mind when I read about
these last week was Muskovy Duck. They are
as big as many geese and not closely related
to other ducks. The wild birds are mostly dark
with plenty of green iridescence . Domesticated
ones are often all white. See Sibley page 81.
A white one was free flying on Alsea Bay for
several years near Eckman Lake. It made quite an
impression on gloomy winter days as it flew among
the Sitka Spruce. They are named after the Moskito
Coast of Nicaragua, not the city of Moscow.
